What is Prashasti?

“Prashasti” is a self‑help and support group for women with breast cancer and their families. Here, people share their experiences, learnings, and suggestions—building mental strength and a positive outlook towards treatment. We aim to clear myths in Indian society by providing evidence‑based information in simple language.

How Does Prashasti Work?

  1. Orientation: Welcoming new members, rules, and confidentiality.
  2. Info Sessions: Talks on screening, staging, surgery, chemo, radiation, hormonal therapy.
  3. Survivor Stories: Motivational experiences from women who completed treatment.
  4. Q&A: Open discussion with doctors—myths clarified.
  5. Wellbeing Activities: Mindfulness, nutrition, light exercise, skin/hair‑care tips.
  6. Follow‑up: Resources, helplines, and next meeting info.
